Join Us in Preserving the Legacy of the Supreme Court

By joining the Supreme Court Historical Society, you play a vital role in preserving the history of America’s highest court. As a member, you’ll enjoy the opportunity to attend special events and programs featuring renowned scholars, authors, and on occasion— current or former members of the Court. Your membership also supports efforts to raise awareness about the importance of America’s Judicial Branch. Help Preserve Court History

Financial contributions from our members support the collection and preservation of records, stories, artifacts, and more from the Court’s history. Your support ensures future generations will be able to appreciate and learn from landmark decisions made by America’s highest court.

Support Civics Education

Educating future generations about Court history is a core part of our mission. With the support of our members, we’ve developed free-to-use resources and a slate of immersive, nationwide programs. Students and educators can journey through different eras from Court history on our CIVICS Education website. Our Supreme Court and My Hometown and Summer Institute for Teachers programs provide opportunities for students and teachers to deepen their knowledge through in-depth, in-person experiences.

As a member of the Society, you will receive:

The Journal of Supreme Court History — Our Award-Winning Publication of selected scholarly articles on the Court’s history, its members and those who have appeared before it. The Journal is produced in full color three times a year and is illustrated with many rare photographs, engravings, and drawings.

The Quarterly — Our member-oriented newsletter with informative articles, and timely announcements of Society activities and meetings

Our Members are also invited to programs and other Society-sponsored functions throughout the year. The Society’s Annual Meeting includes the Annual Lecture, as well as a formal reception and dinner held each year at the Supreme Court. Other programs open to members include multiple lecture series, reenactments, and educational programs.
