An American-Canadian biographical drama written and directed by Courtney Moorehead Balaker and starring Catherine Keener as Susette Kelo, who, in the Supreme Court case of Kelo v, City of New London, unsuccessfully sued the city of New London, Connecticut, for its controversial use of eminent domain.
The film recounts the true story of Susette Kelo and her working-class neighbors in the Fort Trumbull neighborhood of New London, Conn., whose homes were seized by eminent domain to clear the way for an upscale private development at the behest of the Pfizer Corporation.
