On February 1, 1865, John S. Rock became the first African-American man admitted to the Supreme Court Bar. On the eve of that anniversary, and on the eve of Black History month, Professor Christopher Brooks will present a lecture on the trailblazing life and career of Mr. Rock.
Christopher Brooks is a Professor of History and Geography at East Stroudsburg University. He serves on the Pennsylvania Advisory Committee to the Commission for the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights.
